I just wanted to give you all at Colorado Shih Tzu, Maltese & Lhasa Aspo Rescue a big thank you for rescuing my little Chandler Bing (formerly Benji) from puppy mill horror at this time three years ago! It's been a great three years and thank you again for bringing us together! Here's a picture of me and the little guy!
JAMIE
Updated 7/2011
It has been quite a while since I last wrote – not too awful long after we adopted Jamie, so I thought I’d send a quick update to tell you both that he is doing wonderfully. He and Gracie play like they’ve always been together and he has turned into a real love bug … such a sweet boy and why he was fostered for such a long time is a mystery to me. One of my most favorite things that he does is anytime I come home, I walk upstairs, through the kitchen and to the dining room table where I sit my purse, etc. down – and Jamie will hop behind me on his back legs, with his front legs scraping my butt as he hops …It is hilarious.
Take care ~
Donna
Nancy and Lee –
I have a video of Jamie and Gracie running through the house like two freaks, playing “catch me if you can” – which I have been trying to download to send you both.
Let me just say why this sweet little man was in a foster situation for so long is beyond me. Yes, he is in the trash every single day – but so what? If that is the worst thing he does, then so be it. My beloved Spanky ate shoes like nobody’s business but dealing with that one issue was SO worth it for the joy it brought me to have her in my life and I am feeling the same way about Jamie. He is such a sweet boy and very attached to me already. It is as though he has just always been here – at least to Gracie.
What a sweet baby he is … I call him my Rag Doll Man because I’ll pick him up to love on him and his whole body just goes limp … it is hilarious.
I give thanks for you both every day for taking care of my sweet little man until it was time for him to come to us.
Hugs to you both,
Donna
DUNCAN
Good afternoon Nancy,
Duncan is an incredible little dog. He is such a happy and loving dog due to all the help and love he has gotten from you, Benita and the vet.
I just wanted to let you know that I researched a couple of other rescues and they were doing a good job trying to help animals, but your rescue gives the best medical care, is very honest and helpful.
A great big thanks to all of you for your hard work and dedication to these wonderful doggies.
See you soon.
Rhonda
WATSON

Hi Nancy,
I just wanted to give you another short update on Watson. Things couldn't be better. We are still living in the mountains, and he has learned to manage the deep snow winters, pretty well. He loves the summers as long as his fur stays short, and we keep it pretty trim, all except his mustache. (As you probably can see in the photo I enclosed)
As for the seizures, he has not had one since October 2010. He is not currently taking any medication either, just an emergency dose on phenobarb on hand in case he does start having a seizure cluster. But, we haven't had to worry about that in over 6 months. He's really doing great!
I just want to thank you again for putting us together. We are definitely best buds.
That's all for now,
J. Bradley "Vann" Taylor
TITUS

Our first day as a family of four went exceptionally well - Zaccheus and Titus seem to like each other - they'll run side by side outside and in the house. Lots of tail-wagging already, and Zaccheus is ready to play for the first time since we lost Barnabas! Let Laurie know she did a great job with him - no accidents at all - and he is a cuddler - was glued to my side all night!!
Thanks so very much!!
Judi
YOGI & BEAR

YOGI YOGI and BEAR

YOGI and BEAR YOGI and BEAR
Here is a very happy Yogi (Formally - Topper) and Bear. The boys are getting along really really well. They play together and sleep together and we just adore both of them. We are so happy with the adoption and I think you can see that Yogi is happy also. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! We'll keep you posted in the months to come.
WOOBIE
I wanted to send you some new pics of our little boy and let you know how he is doing... We LOVE him so much! He has a terrific personality and he and Bentley play together and wrestle and chase each other all around, they are the best of brothers. They usually nap curled up close together with Woobie's head on Bentley's back! He loves our boat (sleeps under the driver's seat which is in the back under the shady roof) and going to our trailer at the lake...he even likes swimming! I will send some pics of him...he just got a hair trim... I got it cut shorter for summer because he was so hot! Thank you again for saving him so we could find him...we love him so much!

ASHER (formerly Asta)

Asha means happy blessing and he is all that and more. He loves walking to the park and wrestling with (his buddy) Dinky. I am so grateful for the healthy, loving start CSTMR gave our little boy!"
